Senior Cyber Security Engineer - Liverpool
Are you looking for a hands-on technical security lead role for you to influencing security operations as well as implementing, and managing security solutions.
Ensure secure delivery of IT services across on-premises and cloud platforms, maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Working closely with Other technical teams such as Infrastructure, Development, DBA, and Project teams, providing specialist security support and guidance.
This will suit someone with a few years experience working for a medium to large business.
- Key Responsibilities - Lead cyber security operations, enforce best security practices, conduct risk assessments, and manage penetration testing & vulnerability scanning.
- Security Strategy & Compliance - Align security initiatives with corporate and regulatory standards (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, PCI/DSS), ensuring compliance.
- Threat Monitoring & Incident Response - Continuously monitor, test, and enhance security posture while responding to incidents, troubleshooting, and performing root cause analysis.
- Technical Expertise - Requires experience with security frameworks (NIST, NCSC, MITRE ATT&CK), enterprise security solutions (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM), and Azure cloud security tools
