Senitor are thrilled to be working with this customer-focused Irish company who are hiring a highly motivated, and technically proficient Application Support Technician to join our IT Business Consulting, Development, and Automation Team. In this role, you will be responsible for application and environment maintenance, building and executing test cases, and supporting the implementation of low-code applications using the Mendix platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business needs and the ability to communicate technical details effectively to people at all levels. Key Responsibilities and Skills Required:
- Track and report on the maintenance of locally developed applications.
- Provide second-level support for application issues.
- Use monitoring tools such as Grafana and Splunk to track performance and suggest improvements.
- Review code and implement logging to support monitoring.
- Support developers with allocated tasks and build test plans through Azure Test Plans Suite.
- Identify and resolve bugs before escalating to developers.
- Consult with business departments on new technologies and processes.
- Coordinate and execute projects while documenting solutions and technical concepts.
- Maintain the IT project and solution portfolio for accurate reporting.
- Required Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Development, or relevant experience (minimum 1 year).
- Experience with low-code platforms like Mendix, Outsystems, PowerApps, or other software development experience.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools and critical problem-solving abilities.
- Strong business acumen, particularly in the FMCG industry.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile project teams and a full driving licence.
- Desirable Skills:
- Experience with data analysis methods and tools.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, scripting, and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
- Project management certifications (Prince, PMP, CompTIA Project+).
